About SALT
SALT – Student Athletes Leading Tomorrow – is a sports-based youth development organization directed toward youth in underserved communities. Founded in 2019, SALT seeks to establish programs that engage children in an organic way, helping them to develop active, healthy lifestyles while ensuring their personal growth in areas of life beyond sports. Based in Alton, IL, just 20 minutes from St. Louis, MO, SALT is a 501(c)(3) organization.
Our Mission
SALT utilizes athletics and physical activity to connect with young people in underserved, marginalized communities in an effort to encourage growth in the following areas, which constitute the 3 pillars of SALT’s programming:
